Why SaaS Tracker exists
Built by a lawyer who needed a better way.
SaaS Tracker began with a recurring professional problem: businesses depend on online legal documents that can change without meaningful notice, but monitoring those documents and understanding the consequences requires too much manual work.
The origin
The tool that was missing from the work.
As a lawyer advising businesses, Brig saw how frequently companies rely on terms of service, privacy policies, data-processing terms, licenses, API terms, subprocessor lists, and other online documents. Those documents affect vendor relationships, product dependencies, and written contracts—but finding the current terms, preserving prior versions, and determining what changed required too much time and fragmented effort.
He looked for a tool that could monitor the documents, preserve a dependable history, and help legal and business teams identify changes that deserved attention. He could not find one that addressed the complete workflow.
So he decided to build it.
SaaS Tracker was not created because tracking terms is fascinating. It was created because the work should be more efficient, important changes should be easier to see, and preventable legal and operational risks should be easier to manage.

Brig Ricks is a business attorney with more than 20 years of experience advising companies on corporate, commercial, employment, intellectual property, real estate, regulatory, and litigation matters.
He serves as outside general counsel to businesses across technology, software, hospitality, manufacturing, staffing, e-commerce, real estate, and professional services, providing practical legal guidance grounded in business judgment and operational realities.
His experience includes strategic transactions, M&A, corporate governance, complex contracting, dispute resolution, and advising executives on legal and enterprise risk.
